Back by popular demand! I lost the source file for this when my web server drives crapped out over a month ago, but I found a copy on my laptop today. I even updated the icon so it matches the new Google favicon design.

If you missed out on this Firefox search plug-in the first time around, it enables keyboard shortcuts for navigating Google search result pages made available via the Google experimental search features. Using this plug-in you can move through and open search results with the following keys:

  • j: Move to the next result/next page of results.
  • k: Move to the previous result.
  • o: Open the currently selected search result.
  • O: Open currently selected search result in a new tab. (Updated Oct. 21, 2008)
  • /: Focus on the Google search text field at the top of the results page.

To use this search-plugin, you will need browse to this post with Firefox 2 or 3. To install this plug-in click here.
